Falasarna beach is situated on the West shoreline of Crete island and as Elafonisi place is famous to visitors due to its shocking sea shores and clear turquoise Aegean blue. It comprises of a few sandy sea shores of different length, all facing the West side of the island, a great spot to watch the sunset. The sea is very clean, with beautiful blue tones because of the sandy bottom. On the off chance that you are keen on ancient areas and history you can likewise visit the remaining parts of an ancient Greek harbor. Due to an unexpected elevate of the West of Crete 1500 years prior the harbor is currently found inland.
In Falasarna you will never feel crowded even on busy days because they are so wide and long. Area is similar to exotic places is already awarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in world. This beach is one of the main reasons that makes me adore Crete and specially Chania.
Last time I visited Chania I chose to stay near city center and maybe this was one of the best decisions I have ever made. This town has so much to offer, is amazing! The city of Chania is divided into two main parts. The old town, with the old port, and the new town, outside the walls. The old town is built around the Venetian port and is surrounded by the Venetian fortifications of 1538. In the Splantzia district, the old Muslim quarter, the visitor will find picturesque alleys with many taverns. A little further south from the square of theΤrimartyris is the square of the New Stores, which is the border of the new city.
It is an excellent combination and I strongly recommend to everybody to stay in a hotels chania city hotel in Chania during holidays, so in this way you can enjoy city's vivid nighlife and in same time plan daily trips to near wonderful beaches, including my favourite and insuperbable Falasarna.
